DESCRIPTION:  \nConvidamos toda a comunidade acadêmica para participar da palestra \”Prevenção do Comportamento Suicida\”\, que dará início à programação do Setembro Amarelo – mês da prevenção ao suicídio\, na Unifei. \nDescrição da palestra:\nNa palestra serão abordados aspectos práticos e aplicáveis ao cotidiano dos estudantes relacionados à promoção da saúde mental e prevenção do suicídio\, tais como: autoconhecimento\, autoestima\, protagonismo\, gestão de emoções\, resolução de problemas\, resiliência\, entre outros. Serão ainda abordados os seguintes temas: o que é comportamento suicida\, como reconhecer sinais indicativos de risco de suicídio\, como ajudar alguém em risco de suicídio\, como promover a saúde mental na universidade. \nPalestrante:\nA professora Kelly Graziani Giacchero Vedana é graduada em Bacharelado em Enfermagem pela Escola de Enfermagem de Ribeirão Preto da Universidade de São Paulo. Doutora pelo Programa de Pós-graduação em Enfermagem Psiquiátrica da Escola de Enfermagem de Ribeirão Preto da Universidade de São Paulo. Professora Doutora da Escola de Enfermagem de Ribeirão Preto da Universidade de São Paulo. Pós-Doutorado pela Escola Superior de Enfermagem de Coimbra (ESEnfC). Responsável pelo Centro de Educação em Prevenção e Posvenção do Suicídio (CEPS). Vice-presidente do Capítulo Rho Upsilon da Sigma Theta Tau Internacional – Sociedade Honorífica de Enfermagem. SUMMARY:Palestra: "Service-inspired Data Processing Architectures for a Smart World"
DESCRIPTION:This talk will attempt to cover a number of topics and should lay the foundation for further discussions with various interested parties. I will split the talk in three parts: first I will consider my trajectory in terms of research from telecommunications systems software to IoT and industry to academia as this puts an emphasis on what I consider important in research — and interestingly governments around the world seem to come to the same thinking. \nI will spend the bulk of the talk on recent and current research as reflected by the title: we will discuss specifically aspects of software architecture for  cloud and service computing paradigms. We will highlight a number of key issues of these architectures that emerge when we consider IoT and ‘lots of little data’. This will take the focus to data processing architectures that can be distributed in various ways\, and thus allow the ideas from service and cloud computing to be expanded for IoT. In this I will touch on the current hot topic of data analytics and machine learning. All these aspects will be supported by examples in the world to highlight their relevance. \nI will finally\, inspired by my great experience of working with colleagues from around the world in research I will discuss possibilities for exchanges for both staff and students to the UK — I like this final part to be interactive and driven by questions from the audience rather than a large slide deck.
