Resumo: In this seminar, I shall present some of the main results obtained during my PhD training. Within the realm of vacuum-induced phase transitions, we have established a family of optical based analogue models for the phenomenon of gravity-induced vacuum instability, and, as byproduct, a novel method of field quantization in the presence of instability and dispersive media was proposed. Our findings are linked to state-of-the-art solid state devices such as graphene stacks.
